How it Started
Back in 2017, BoldHER hosted its first Meet-Up in a cozy Boston apartment around bottles of wine and a bounty of snacks. We would take turns stepping up as a speaker and facilitating a conversation, allowing that individual to feel empowered, build skills, and step outside of their comfort zone. From those meetings, we learned about ourselves as individuals and as a collective, as well as the importance of diving deep, being raw, and sharing our stories to empower one another.
Why Meet-Ups?
The BoldHER Meet-Ups are the focus of what we do — our "secret sauce," if you will. The Meet-Ups provide a space to discuss issues women face in their careers and lives, and continues the mission our original Meet-Ups sought to fulfill: the empowerment of all speakers and participants. We want everyone to feel welcomed to share their knowledge and insights, and support each other through difficult times. After all, this is how our community formed in the first place, and is an organic way to form connections and receive support in a sometimes-isolating world.
What to Expect
We host interactive virtual Meet-Ups and facilitate a discussion centered around various topics impacting women.
Feature new speakers to lead the discussion.
Throughout the meeting, you can expect various activities and breakout groups to get one-on-one time with participants, allowing you to meet friends and expand your professional network.
Although our meetings are held on a virtual platform, we encourage you to host your own in-person "watch party" for BoldHER Meet-Ups with friends, family, or colleagues.
